So last weekend we went up to Whistler, usually we would have already made two trips up there by now but this summer has been packed. This was Joe's second trip and my first this year.
We arrived at our camp site at 10pm and found a couple setting up their tent because someone stole their site. No big deal, they seemed normal enough so we just shared the site. It was big anyway. We set up camp, they set up camp and we all sat around the campfire until after midnight getting to know each other. Life can be strange and this is one of those strange moments. The campground was like a big old party everywhere you looked, loud music, drunken people, bon fires... but Selena slept through the whole thing so we didn't mind.

Saturday we got up and did the biking thing. Well Joe did the biking thing, I didn't feel good still from the meds I'm on and felt like I was going to throw up. So I did the easy carting Selena around biking thing. Then it was so hot we had to do the lake thing.

Saturday evening was the freestyle event and we met up with the Transition bike crew and watched the event from their suite overlooking the course. It was a nice way to do it because the village was packed but it was so gosh darn hot.
Then back to the campground where we again got cozy with the crazy Canadian couple, Noah and Sue and about 100 other loud people who were ready for another night of drunken parties, loud music and smoking pot. Ahhh, there's nothing like getting out of the city and going to a rowdy camping party. Again Selena slept through the whole thing thanks to her not getting a nap.

We'll be back up in Whistler in a month so I'll do the biking thing then when it's less hot and all the meds are done.
