Project time...

With fall here and the long winter just around the corner it means time to start another home remodel project. The entry/living room/dining room project was a nice way to get our feet wet so it's on the the master bath. There are many things that this room is going to need cosmetically. Lucky for us the shower, sink and toilet are perfect. The first project will be the cabinets. This will be out first attempt at cabinetry stripping, sanding and staining and we know we are in for a long process. Paint will come next and then eventually the counter top. The floor is already tile and beautiful so that is one less cost for us. After the bathroom is done we will move onto the other bathroom cabinets and then onto the kitchen cabinets and new kitchen paint.

So pretty much the winter is going to be all about cabinets an after sanding just two last night I can see this will be a slow process.

I think the rest of the trim and doors in the hallway and bedroom will be a next year project and the downstairs will be a two year from now project. :)

But adding value to the home in this economic state is a very good investment.
