VACATION DAY 6, 7 & 8 - THE WEDDING

The last few days went way to fast with the rehearsal dinner and wedding. We drove to Lewiston on day 6; we took the long way to check out the scenery. We arrived in Lewiston and drove the 5 mile gravel road to Cottonwood Cabin #3 where we would finally get to sleep in real beds for three nights. The cabin was very cute, three rooms with a living/dining/kitchen in the big room, a bedroom and bathroom. Outside on the deck was a hot tub just for us and after sleeping on the ground for five nights this was just what we needed.

Day 7 brought the decorating of the wedding site, the wedding was at the fairgrounds and we were happy to have another beautiful sunny day. The rehearsal dinner was at a local bar with wonderful food although it was a little funny that Selena was only 23 months when she got to hang out in a bar. It reminded me of that scene in Sweet Home Alabama with Reese Witherspoon when she says "You have a baby... in a bar." Diane (Joe's sister) wore a dress which is like the second time I had seen her in a dress and the first time was as my bridesmaid. After the dinner desert was served outside at Mike's aunts home, Selena enjoyed running around with the other little kids before passing out from chocolate coma in the car on the way back to the cabin.

Day 8 was the wedding; it was a beautiful, sunny, warm day. The wedding was beautiful, Diane looked relaxed and happy and everything went perfect. The food was made by Mike's family, aunts, and friends of family. I did not get any pictures of Joe and Dave standing by Diane as brides boys because Selena wanted to play in the grass but I did get some nice pictures of the wedding party.

After the wedding Selena got brave and grabbed the microphone for a real nice rendition of the ABC's among other made up songs.
