With the little bit of potty training Selena is getting at home and the training the daycare is working on there is lots of potty talk around the house. We hear a lot of "poo poo" and "potty" each time Selena is in the bathroom or she needs to go. She usually gives us a few second "poo poo?" warning before she actually goes so we are getting somewhere. She is also figuring out how to pull her pants down and sometimes the diaper goes with it. She has only had a couple accidents with the diaper off after her shower and it's funny to see her reaction when she realizes what's happening. She used to be more scared now she is just curious about what her body can do, the whole cause and effect thing.
Monday evening I caught her trying to remove her pants so she could secretly go use her potty chair and she didn't want any help except for the bathroom door was closed and she wouldn't let me open it because she wanted to do it by herself "NO MOMMY - NO TOUCH!." Only she can't quite reach the handle and wet her pants. Ahh, the "I want to do everything myself phase" good times.
