Whooah!

Selena has been impressing us each day buy putting words together and in context. It's is amazing to think that in a few short years this little girl will be talking back to us. But for now it's just "No!" with a head shake. I guess that is talking back to us but who knows if she really knows what she is saying yet. Each day she is adding more words to her vocabulary, eyes, noise, teeth, hair, ear, belly and my newest addition to her vocabulary, buns. As in "wash your buns." I totally love this one because she has been washing her face, hands and belly for months but now "wash your buns" is so fun to watch. Her little hands trying to reach behind and touch her buns is priceless and she thinks it's pretty funny also since I laugh each time she tries to wash her buns. That was my weekend addition to enrich her mind. She is putting words together like "dall done" when she's done eating and "da do" for thank you and "deese" for please because every word starts with a "d" in her mind.
As for daddy's little addition to her figuring out words, this happened last week when I was out of town. Joe is going to hate me for telling this but it's just so funny, sorry babe! Joe and Selena were in the living room and Joe farted. Selena looks at him with big blue eyes wide and says "whooah!" As in "wow dad!" Was it a fluke that she did this, no, Joe wanted to show me how funny this scene was so Saturday afternoon again in the living room. Joe farts and Selena looks at him and says "aaa ohh" "whooah!" Joe and I were almost rolling on the ground, now we just need to wait for her to fart to see if she says the same thing.
It's good to be back with the family, Joey and Selena met me at the airport on Friday night, four nights is way to long!
