Little Pumpkin's Long Day

My little pumpkin woke up on Halloween very happy and excited that mommy took the day off work. She showed no sign of the terrible trauma of the day before. After ear tubes at 6am and a long nap, daddy and Selena went for a walk and played in the garage. Selena went to pick up Joe's water bottle and tripped falling on her face. When she got up Joe saw blood pouring from her little mouth and covering her fists. After cleaning her up he found that her two little bottom teeth almost went through her lip, that was so traumatic she went down for another nap almost saying "is this day over yet?!" Well mommy came home gave her some hugs and we took a shower where she slipped and went down sprawled out on the floor. What a hard day for a little person.
So back to Halloween, I took the day off so I could enjoy sleeping in for number one and dressing Selena up and taking her everywhere for number two and a close third was Goodwill shopping. I love bargains! We started off the day at the library for story time and trick-or-treating, all the kiddos were dressed up and looking cute. We stopped by Joe's work to see all the ladies and Selena got a stuffed witch from Autumn and candy from a goldfish. We went to the Supermall in Auburn to meet up with Selena's friend Avery, Shannon and I chased the gals around the play area for a few hours until Joe met us. Still, Selena had not taken a nap and was running on a sugar high so we went trick-or-treating at the Freighthouse Station in Tacoma where all the shops hand out candy, plus it's inside and warm. Then home to catch the little monsters trick-or-treating at our house and boy did we have a lot! Selena would answer the door in her pumpkin costume and hand out candy to the small kiddos. She was not to sure about Al Gore, Freddie Crugar or Darth Vader, don't really blame her. After that is was off to bed and boy did she sleep, finally!
