We drove down to Corvallis on Friday to break up the trip and stay with my dad. He had American Dream pizza and beer waiting for us after the LONG drive. We left at 2pm but hit Portland traffic that tied us up for 2 hours on the I-5. We went down to the Toy Factory in down town Corvallis to spend Selena's gift certificate. What did Selena want? A large marble and rocks. Hmmmm... we finally said "Do you want car stuff, train stuff or doll stuff. She choose cars so we left with a cute wooden car set and a rescue station (since auntie Ariel is am EMT)it has an ambulance just like auntie drives.
We left Saturday afternoon to finish the drive to Medford. Sunday we got together with friends for a BBQ at Kelly and Jen's house. Monday we ran around visiting family and then Alonzo's had a BBQ so more family could come a see us. Tuesday we played around in the hills and hiked with the family before grandma pumpkin pie and grandpa pookee took us to dinner and a great Mexican place.
Wednesday Joe went to Kelly's to work on the Sammy so uncle Dave took us girls hiking on the CA border. It was about a 4 mile hike and Dave had to carry Selena about two miles of it so I'm sure his shoulders were tired. Thursday we visited family and more friends before going to Uncle Dave's South Medford freshman football game. He is one of the coaches and Selena enjoyed watching him on the field. We went out to pizza with the family and then over to Kelly's house where we met up with the ----- clan. They have four boys, Wyatt 6, Colt 5, Rider 3 and Jr. 15 months. Selena went home with the grandparents otherwise I'm sure she would have loved to beat up the boys. Friday was filled with more visits to see family and then a picnic with grandma and grandpa and the great grandparents in the mountains to scope deer. I think we spotted about 27 of them, at least four bucks.
We did the annual Jacksonville garage sale Saturday morning where we bought a few books and a couch. I know, besides towing the Sammy there was a couch in the back of the truck.

We are now back and staying busy before the trip to Whistler this weekend. I have my 6 week check-up tomorrow to get cleared to ride.
Some of the highlights as Selena tells me them:
Walks and hikes with the family...

Seeing the Douglas boys...

Hunting the fox with grandpa pookee...

Getting spoiled by family...

Catching a lizzard and kissing it!

and playing with her baby...
